Today Alex, Christian, Svana and I explore the city of Agra.

The view from the roof top of our hotel in Agra

On the roof we meet a Hooded Crow (Corvus corone cornix)

and we find its nest.

Our personal riksha driver shows us all the good places in Agra. First he brings us with a rapid drive in his tuk tuk to the Agra Fort.

Christian is driving the tuk tuk without a licence.

The Red Agra Fort is a beautiful walled city.

In the Fort

The Red Fort is about 450 years old and
was built by the Mongolian emperor Akbar.

Bat

Everybody wants to take pictures with the blonde Germans.

From the Red Fort we have a nice view at the Taj Mahal.

Christian is willing to take chances to get good pictures
and climbs over fences.

I found a new family (:

Svana is feeding the "chipmunks".

This man gives us bread to entice the Northern Palm Squirrel.
We give him 20 rupees.

I like to take pictures of people, too.

These days the streets of Agra are crowded with people. The Hindus are celebrating their god Ganesha. It is the holy elephant.

Riksha parking

After we had lunch in a really touristic indian restaurant
our riksha driver brings us to a basar for shopping.

We have to learn to bargain better ...
