The first night at Lake Elementaita, most of us spent almost sleepless. Too many noises occupied the mind and would not let it sleep. The next morning, as we tumble out of the tent, we see what's all going on around us.
Dennis and me go for a walk along the lake and see so many different bird species.

During our morning walk of one and a half hour, Dennis and me observed (unfortunately not photographed) more than 20 bird species!
At the Lake Elementaita, we stay at the Oasis Eco Camp for two nights. It is a nice place directly on the shores of Lake Elementaita and it is set in the midst of a natural acacia forest and bushes. The lake and forest together are home to an abundant birdlife of over 450 species of birds.
For a couple it is a romantic getaway to honeymoon. At the camp it is possible to stay in cottages or houses with private bedrooms and bathrooms. The camp also has very scenic camping grounds next to the lake with big tents including a shower and toilet facility. During the two days of our stay, we get catering from the camp stuff.

After breakfast, Dennis and me go hiking to and around the crater next to the camp at lake Elementaita.
